Welcome to my new blog! I was not going to start posting here until January 7th (you’ll see why if a minute), but I simply cannot wait another second! I am so excited to have a new name, a new blog, and to be embarking upon a new adventure!
I have been designing under the name of MyOwnFont by Karen at the digital design store, Gotta Pixel, since July 2009. My contract there, however, was limited to certain design items. I love to learn new things and to use all (not just part) of the knowledge that I gain. My limited contract at Gotta Pixel did not allow me to expand my product line, which, as a designer, I found very frustrating.
Enter, Joli Kirk, of ScrapProfessor. Joli was welcomed me to her team, encouraged me with her praise, and tutored me when I needed help. I will be having a “Designer Debut” at ScrapProfessor.com on January 8, 2010. My new product line includes not only word art and alphas, but page kits (more coming!), textures, text paths, elements… you name it! My problem now is that I do not have enough time in the day to accomplish all that I want to, so I am learning patience (or trying to anyway).
Please join us at ScrapProfessor on July 8th for fun, games, prizes, and the debut of my new product line. An added bonus for me is that I will be sharing my debut with my good friend, Katie Castillo, of JustSoScrappy.blogspot.com. Katie has a bright, fun, colorful design style, and I have been privileged to design word art for her kits over the past several months.
I invite you to sign up for my newsletter, to follow me on Facebook, or to sign up as a Follower so that I may keep you informed of sales, coupons, and promotions. Also, please know that I welcome your comments and suggestions at any time, about anything. My goal is to design items that YOU will find useful and fun.
I am excited about the future and invite you to join me as I take another step forward in the design world.
With warmest regards,
Karen Schulz
