Layout Inspiration by Beatrice: Winter Wonderland

January 17, 2017

Hi! It’s Beatrice here on Tuesday this week!  The MyMemories Blog Train left yesterday, Monday.  If you missed Monday’s post, head on over to be sure you don’t miss out on any freebies!

Today my goal is to inspire you with layouts created using SnickerdoodleDesigns’ latest collection, Winter Wonderland, which is part of the Coordinated Collection at theStudio. There are eight separate packs in Winter Wonderland, each available exclusively at theStudio for only $1, now through January 27th.

After January 27th, Winter Wonderland will be available at SnickerdoodleDesigns and The Digichick; however, you will save the most right now, at $1 per pack!

If you’d like to see previews of each collection piece, just take a look at the January 14th blog post. I’ll show you the complete collection here so you can get an idea of the theme and the palette.

Our Winter Wonderland by msbrad demonstrates the versatility of the collection since it depicts a summer rather than a winter theme. The masked photo overlaid with brushwork is the perfect backdrop for the smaller framed photo. The trailing vines, which are part of the cluster in the upper corner, lead the eye into the layout. The cluster and brushwork at the bottom of the page ground the large photo perfectly.

I love the vintage card featured in Winter Wonderland by Norma. Her clusters are large and beautifully shadowed. The skates included in the bottom cluster support her theme, and the soft pastels really make the red in the card pop. Placing the snow sparkle and scatter of snowflakes on top adds a touch of winter to her page.

I love the paper stacking in Winter Wonderland by Zanthia. The little skater girl is so pretty, and she is extracted to perfection. The clusters are small and add to the delicate look of the page. This is another lovely wintery page with the sparkles and snowflakes placed on top.

The treatment of the street scene in Winter Wonderland by Linda is so artfully done. I really like the way the photo is duplicated and both blended and masked into the background.  The single cluster borders the side and bottom of the page. It’s big and beautiful. Once again the sparkles are placed atop the layout giving it both a soft and sparkly appearance.

Renee chose the perfect background paper for her cute photo in her layout also entitled Winter Wonderland. The skates and swirly lines really add a sense of movement to the page, while the snowflakes and sparkles she included add a wintery touch. I love the curled edges on the photo and the way she tacked it down with the stitches, which touch only parts of the edge. Her clusters are so pretty; I love the old-fashioned skates and the poem she included in lieu of journaling is just the right touch.

I’ve come to the end of my post and I hope you check out all the parts of this gorgeous collection. Did you collect the freebie that was part of the January 14th blog post? If not I’ll add it again here.
