Make a Very Personal Christmas Gift this Year
If you are like me, you have several special people in your life whom you like to remember with a gift at Christmas time. But they have everything they need or want. So what do you do? Well, there’s always the “safe” gift of a blouse or shirt, their favorite candy, a movie DVD or a music CD. But really, do they need more of that? Why not take the time to make them something really special this year… a photo book of memories.
I make photo books for many occasions – vacations, special events, Christmas, and many other occasions; but my favorite photobooks are the ones I give away.
You might not be able to tell, but my daughter’s face is red because she cried for 10 minutes when she saw the photobook I made for her as a Christmas gift.
In 2007, I made one for my mother-in-law. My father-in-law told me later that she kept it on the coffee table in the living room and looked at it every single night for months. She was in the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
When our grandson, Tyler, was 2 years old, my husband took care of him every Tuesday. We called it Tuesdays with Tyler, and I created a book for Tyler, one page for every day he spent with his Grandpa, with photos and narrative of what they did that day.
There have been so many special books I have enjoyed making AND enjoyed giving!
I encourage you to give it a try if this is a new idea to you! And if it’s something you’ve done before, then I have something that will make it even easier for you!
My new Droplet Templates incorporate the “drag and drop” feature, which was introduced with the new release of Photoshop Elements 15. This feature works in PSE 10-14 as well. The templates may also be used in the full version of Photoshop, using clipping masks, as usual, with templates.
I have several videos on how to use the templates, as well as a new one released today on how to incorporate scrapbook pages as “full-bleed” pages in photobook software.
Here is a list of the short videos that will help you get on your way when using the Droplet Templates. You will create books faster than you ever have before, and it will be fun!
And the NEW video just released today:
