Monday Inspiration by Beatrice
It’s the start of a new week, and it’s Beatrice here, back on the blog hoping to inspire you with some layouts I found while browsing the galleries. This week SnickerdoodleDesigns has two new releases: Artsy Brushes 01 and Artsy Textures & Transparencies 09. While they are marked CU, they are also perfect for your personal stash.
These products were included in the Studio’s CU Grab Bag Gala Event last month, but are now available individually! Save 30% with Introductory Pricing at:

The Artsy Brushes come in both Photoshop ABR format, as well as PNG format, for non-Photoshop users.
Having the Artsy Textures available in both JPG and PNG format also allows for great versatility and flexibility. A few days ago Karen provided links to 2 of her helpful tutorials, delineating the differences you might see between both formats. In case you missed her post, here they are again:

I’d like to show you a few layouts that demonstrate the versatility of these products.
Kindness by Glori12 is a lovely photo-less page. She combined the Artsy Brushes 01 with You Are a Masterpiece Collection. The paper stacking creates an elegant background; the blended paper is actually one that’s included in the kit. The combination of stamped flowers overlaid with real flowers is so pretty. The quote she chose is rendered in a lovely font. The trailing ivy and the stamped dove are the perfect finishing touches.
Norma combined quite of few of Snickerdoodle Designs’ new releases in creating her layout, Listen to the Music. She used Artsy Brushes 01, Artsy Textures & Transparencies Vol 9, Vintage Frames 01, Vintage Music Overlays (look for this to be released in just a few days!) and the Strawberry Lemonade Kit. This proves to me that you can really stretch your stash by combining brushes and overlays with your existing supplies. I would never have been able to identify the kit without the credits. The photo crop is outstanding, and the brushwork and paint give the layout an artsy look. The title work is the perfect addition to her page.
Last weekend, I saw this adorable photo of Karen and her grandson in my Facebook Feed. Norma combined both new releases Artsy Brushes 01 and Artsy Textures & Transparencies Vol 9 with Snickerdoodle’s Folkish Autumn Kit (retired) in her layout, A Touch of Memory. I really like the vintage appearance of the background paper. The large cluster of colorful flowers contrasts beautifully with the darker paper, and the bent frame adds a classic touch. The adorable owl mimics the look of the bronze animal in the photo and reinforces the zoo theme. The bubbles on top add a touch of whimsy to the overall look of the layout.
I just happened upon this gorgeous layout, My Soul, by britnkaysmemaw2. She used Artsy Brushes 01 together with My Soul by Leigh Penrod Digital Designs and Border Me Cluster template by BrenianDesigns. I love the palette and the way the layout design extends the theme of the photo. The floral cluster down the side of the page is gorgeous, and the artsy brushes, used on the opposite side, add balance to the layout.
I have one more layout to share, Daffodils, by Kabra. She used both Artsy Brushes 01 and Artsy Textures & Transparencies Vol 9, in combination with Strawberry Lemonade Collection and the FREE mini for the Use It All Challenge at The Digichick. The brushes and textures add so much dimension to the stacked papers. I love the way she angled and stacked the frames. She kept the clusters large, but placed them so as not to overshadow her photo.
I’ve come to the end of my post and, as always, I hope I have inspired you to do some creating of your own. I’ll be on vacation next Monday, but I’ll be back in two weeks. Enjoy the rest of the week and thanks!
