Monday Inspiration by Beatrice – Chart Your Course

January 7, 2019

Good morning. I’m back on the blog after a brief holiday and excited to show you just a few inspirational layouts using SnickerdoodleDesigns’  Chart Your Course Collection.

Chart Your Course Collection

Chart Your Course is the January Special and will be on sale at 30% off through the end of the month. The Collection and separates are available at:

Snickerdoodle Designs     Gingerscraps     Oscraps

I think the theme of this Collection is perfect for the new year when so many of us seek a change. Of course, the Collection is flexible as are all SnickerdoodleDesigns kits and can be used in many ways including travel or everyday life. I tried to demonstrate the flexibility in the layouts I chose to show you here.

I’ll begin with this travel page by Kay. She also used this Alpha Template Set in creating her layout. I really like the way she stretched her photo across the page and kept it large. Blending it with the kit papers works so well. Her cluster is gorgeous and I like the way she mimicked the curve in the map paper when layering the flowers together.

I like the motivational message in Linda’s layout which is another one of the themes behind the Collection. You will find the word art she used included in the Collection. I like the way she added the clouds and the splash to her photo. These elements are also included in the Collection and work seamlessly with her photo. The vertical cluster is beautifully shadowed and balances the men in the photo perfectly.

The page design in this layout by Rochelle works so well with the design of the background paper she chose with its faint outline of the map. I like the way she was able to showcase bits of the papers found in the kit and add just a few small clusters to finish off her page. Using the dark blue paper for her journaling really places the focus on the story and the cute photos of her daughter.

This gorgeous page by Michelle uses so many pieces from the Collection. I like the way she used the double masking for the large photo of the city. She combined a script font with the alpha from the kit and placed her title directly onto the photo. I like the way she combined the two smaller framed photos with the large blended photo. She also added the kit word art to the bottom corner of the photo and created a cluster above her journaling keeping everything symmetrical.

This collection is perfect for Kabra’s heritage photo. The measuring tape border frames the page flawlessly. The angled banner adds a touch of whimsy and the frame she chose leads the eye to the treasured photo. Her titlework and cluster are the ideal final touches for her page.

The photo crop in this page by Norma is intriguing. I like the vertical design and the way the majority of the elements are on the right side of the page. Her cluster creates a shelf where she is able to tuck her photo and the vertical portion of the cluster meets the shelf at a right angle, a creative design touch. Her vertical journaling message contrasts well with the horizontal titlework.

I hope I have inspired you with these beautiful layouts. If you don’t already have this Collection it’s time to add it at this very special price. Thanks for reading along and have a creative week!
