I hope you read Saturday’s blog post where you will find not only a gorgeous freebie cluster created by Renee but also two tutorials on how to customize the Word Strips and Word Art in “Painted Autumn.”   If not, you will find them here:

Now for some inspiration. I love the way Melk Autumn by Ozegirl looks like an artist’s canvas.  The photo treatment is delightful and the masking perfection.  The way she used the kit embellishments to extend the scene of her photo is very creative.  I especially like the way the owl perches atop the tree branch and the way the scarecrow sits on the hay bale surrounded by pumpkins and mushrooms.  By keeping the size of her elements tiny she in no way overshadows the gorgeous photo.

I’m always amazed at how many different looks are possible using only a single collection by SnickerdoodleDesigns.  Favorite Season by Angel Jet demonstrates that perfectly.  The blue, blended paper, included in the collection, is a perfect backdrop for the gorgeous cascading cluster running vertically and part way across the bottom of the layout.  By reversing the photo, she was able to tuck it into each one of her clusters.  I love the word art she chose to replace her journaling.

Micah’s Smile by Deanna features a sweet photo of her grandson.  I like the photo treatment she used which works really well with the collection.  She used a template by Christaly and made it her own by adding multiple frames and stacked papers as well as several pretty clusters.  The pinned leaves across the top are the perfect added touch.

It looks to me like 6Grand, in her layout entitled Life is Good, created her own background by blending some of the papers in the collection and adding the paint spatters. The cascading cluster is outstanding and I like the way she used the word strips to serve as her title.  I also like the way the vine in the cluster points us to the word art.  She used a template by Heartstrings Scrap Art to showcase her darling photo.

The paper stacking in Autumn Wedding by kabrak1207 is the perfect framework for her precious photos.  The blended paper she chose reminds me of brickwork.  The stitches across the top and bottom, and the small strips of lace on both sides are great touches, especially the way the lace goes only partway up and down the page.  The diagonal cluster of large elements is an elegant way to draw the eye into the layout.

I’d like to remind you that you can try a mini kit that coordinates with the collection by participating in the Use It All  Challenge at TDC.   Check out the layouts artists have already created by following the link. I hope you will try it out yourself.

As always, I hope I have inspired you to do some creating of your own. Thanks and have a great week.
