Monday Inspiration by Beatrice: Pumpkin Patch

October 10, 2016

There’s finally a hint of Fall in the air, at least in Michigan. I think Fall may be my favorite season, with the arrival of cool, crisp air and the dramatic colors of the changing leaves. You may not have Fall where you live or your seasons may be the opposite of mine; but I think you can still appreciate the gorgeous papers and elements found in the Pumpkin Patch Collection by SnickerdoodleDesigns.

All separate parts of the collection are 45% off, while the full collection, always the best value, is 55% off. I looked through the galleries in order to find a few layouts using the collection to inspire you.

I don’t think it would be possible to find a more perfect photo for this collection than the truck photo used in Pick of the Patch by judyinsd. She also used a template by Heartstrings Scrap Art. I really like the large, blended photo with the smaller, framed photos placed on top. The photo treatment is so soft and pretty, contrasting beautifully with the brighter colors in the masked photo. The clusters are perfectly shadowed and placed to lead the eye down the page. The diagonal title adds interest to the overall design.

I found this unique pumpkin photo featured in Pick of the Patch by kabrak1207. The slight tilt to the photo draws the eye right into the layout. The stacked papers and gorgeous cluster, cascading down the left side of the photo are so pretty. I love how the palette of this layout differs from the one above and really works well with the photo.

An entirely different Pick of the Patch is highlighted in this layout by msbrad. I really like her horizontal design emphasized by the ribbon placed across the top of the page. Tilting and placing the frame behind the large photo is a unique use of the frame. Her cluster across the bottom maintains the horizontal flow of the layout.

What an amazing photo of the library decor is found in Munster Library by cath. She used elements from several other designers as well as from Pumpkin Patch. I really like the slight tilt of the gorgeous, large photo and the way it’s placed on top of the background paper. Her clustering placed in the corner is fantastic and blends seamlessly with the photo. What a clever use of the journal card to add her title and date.

If you haven’t met Cooper before, you are missing out. How adorable is this photo series in  Pumpkin Patch by Zanthia. She also used a former free template by jumpstart designs. The extraction at the bottom is amazing and the kit elements are placed so perfectly they seem to be part of the photo. The strip of smaller photos supports the theme and the clusters are placed in just the right spots. I really like the way the word art serves as her title and journaling.

Finally, I love the scene franlk created in The Patch. The way she used the extraction of her grandson with the truck found in the collection makes it seem as if the truck were part of the original photo. The cluster in the bottom corner supports the smaller, framed photo and the chicken wire down the side frames the layout beautifully. She also used the word art to serve as her title.

I hope you have found some inspiration from these layouts to begin scrapping your own photos. Have a great week and see you next Monday.
