Music Transparencies and a Freebie

Music. It has the power to send chills down your spine, bring tears to your eyes, or a smile to your lips. It communicates the thoughts and emotions of the musician to others.  It is magic!

I think music has a place in our scrapbooking too. Adding words from a song to a scrapbook page can help tell your story. Adding musical notes or scores  to a page can add a great deal of interest.

Here are 2 examples created for your enjoyment by Linda Cumberland, using a soon-to-be-released kit of hers.  She also used “Music Transparencies, ” which can be found in my shop, to create beautiful music accents, which she placed behind her photos.

Music Transparencies by Snickerdoodle Designs

Music Transparencies are provided in 12 x 12″ size, PNG  format, which allows you to easily customize them. You can erase parts you don’t want, or if you are familiar with Masking, use a mask (which will allow you to make your changes non-destructively).  If you are unfamiliar with masking, here’s a tutorial that will help:  How to Use Layer Masks in Photoshop.

Linda has graciously allowed me to share with you one of the music transparency accents that she created and used in one of her layouts.  You may download it here:  Music Transparency Accent Freebie.
