Photo Tip: How to be Respectful and Safe Photographing Wildlife

The other morning, we saw 2 fawns walking across the street.   They were so cute with their “Bambi” spots. If I saw them again I wanted to be prepared to photograph them without scaring them, and at the same time keeping everyone safe.

I went in search of some information on just how to accomplish this goal and came across an article, “How to be Respectful and Safe Photographing Wildlife” by Bruce Wunderlich.  He offers some great tips!

I captured this photo of a raccoon while in Canada a few years ago.  I was using a zoom lens and shooting thru the opening in a chain link fence. I felt pretty safe with that one!
