Monday Inspiration by Beatrice: This Is Me

January 15, 2018

It’s Monday and I’m excited to show you inspirational layouts using SnickerdoodleDesigns’ latest Collection: This is Me designed to help you capture your everyday moments.

The Collection is available now at SnickerdoodleDesigns and The Digichick, at a 30-61% Introductory Savings!

I like the overall neutral palette of the Collection which really makes the blue and orange elements pop. There are so many word bits and embellishments included that can be used to enhance not only that special story but your everyday tales as well. I love all the bonus items included in the Collection like borders and clusters which make for a quick, photo-focused page.

Of course I found many lovely layouts using the Collection when I browsed the galleries. I’ll show you a few here and hope to be back with more in another post. I’ll begin with this layout by Glori. She used two of my favorite elements from the kit, the tape measure and matching bow, to support her clever title.  I like the combination of masked and framed photos. The stitched arrows direct the eye into and across the page. The accents add a soft touch to the background paper. Of course the subject and story really shine here. What an amazing tribute to Glori from her daughter.

I really like this pocket page by Yobeth. Did I mention that there are templates included in the Collection? And they are offered in two sizes (12 x 12 and 8.5 x 11).  The photos on this page take center stage. I like the soft, wood background she used in the larger template spot combined with the painted papers in the smaller spots. Using just a part of one of the accents, the heart sprinkle, behind the arrow pointing to the title is a clever touch. Her simple clusters finish off the page in just the right way.

I’m certain many of us can relate to the sentiment expressed in this layout by franlk. I really like the way she duplicated the photo and added a painterly look to it placing the actual masked and framed photo on top. I like the way she repeated the painted butterfly with the actual butterfly in the center of the vertical cluster. Placing the large camera on top supports her theme. Gorgeous artsy page.

I always enjoy a photoless page and this one by Anita doesn’t disappoint. I like the way her journaling is placed on the open pages of the journal with the cover added between. She used a template by Aimee Harrison.  I love the messy background she created especially the doodled sun with the brad on top. The lace border and sweet clusters complete her layout perfectly.

The journaling on this page by Rochelle is an interesting read. I always love learning more about any of the scrappers whose pages I admire. I like the way she placed her photo on the page across from the text.  Adding the stitches anchor it to the page. The book included in the Collection makes a great foundation for any layout. The cluster across the bottom walks the eye across the page. Repeating the orange flower both behind and in front in two sizes is a great touch.

Karen promised you all a This is Me Freebie today, and here it is!  Thank you to Charne for creating this gorgeous framed cluster for us all! Click on the image below to download!
