Are you a clean-as-you-go person? Or do you have a tendency to set things down wherever you are when you finish using them?

I hate to admit it….. I don’t know why I’m like this….. I’m pretty organized in my life, in general….. You see, how I’m having a hard time even saying this?

But it’s true. I have a tendency to set things down instead of putting them away. Most especially when I am working on a project.

Take yesterday for instance. I wanted to move all of my paint supplies into a small closet in my craft room. The closet has an angled wall on the right side, so I had to figure out the angle at which to cut the shelves. That took a lot of measuring and figuring out. Then I had to actually cut the shelves. Next came the installation of the shelving track system, and of course I needed tools to make sure everything was level.

It didn’t take long, maybe an hour or so, and at the end of that time I had a great little storage place for the paint and supplies I use for furniture refinishing or repurposing.

Of course, then I had to think about rounding up my tools and putting them away. The part I just do not like at all.

On the other hand, if I leave them out long enough, my husband will pick up after me.

Such a dilemma.

What about you? Would you be the person who ends up with a closet full of shelves with all of your tools either put away already or right by your side? Or would you be the person who has to hunt for them?
