Monday Inspiration by Beatrice: Backyard Party Collection

It’s Monday so I’m back on the blog ready to celebrate summer with Snickerdoodle Designs’ newest release, Backyard Party Collection.  Backyard Party is currently available at special pricing as part of the Hatchery, exclusive to The Digichick (through June 8th). As always, while separates are available, the collection is the best value. I really love everything about this collection from the joyful word art, to the papers with the delicate hand-drawn flowers, to the elements both current and vintage. Don’t forget the pre-made borders and clusters for gorgeous pages when you are short on time.

There are already so many lovely pages using this collection it was difficult to choose only a few to show you here today.  With that in mind I’ve tried to select pages that demonstrate the versatility of the collection beginning with Fabry Reunion by Ozegirl. This is the left side of a two page spread. I really like the combination of round and rectangle photos made to stand apart from the background with a thin white mat. The paper lanterns add a festive touch to the layout while the swirl of musical notes supports the journaling documenting the event.  I like the way she created a scene behind the photos in order not to distract from the focus of her layout.

Here’s another side of a two page layout, VPK Field Day by msbrad. I like the background paper she chose, with the sketched daisies and bits of newsprint. The addition of the greenery is very creative and complements the daisies perfectly.  The framed chalkboard points the eye to the title which in turn runs down the page to the journal card, complete with the story of the event. I also like the way she duplicated the gate to create a fence, a great way to partition the large, masked photo from the page. I love that she was able to separate and frame the main subject of her page, tilting and overlaying the photo on top.

I really like the way the photo blends seamlessly with the background paper in Garden Party Time by LiMa Inspirations. The flower cluster across the bottom of the masked photo is beautifully clustered and the colors in the flowers reflect the colors in the girl’s shirt and the balloons. The ladybugs and butterflies sprinkled about add a bit of whimsy to the page.

Another Time by kabra is an outstanding heritage page. The way she placed the frame both in front of and behind the masked photo is very unique. The scene she created with the vintage elements works perfectly with her photo. I really like the fonts she combined for her title-work and the way they are outlined and subtly shadowed.

I’ll finish off with this fun page by Bright Eyes, Flip Flop Zone. I love the paper stacking she used as a foundation for her adorable photos. There is always something so appealing about a photo taken from behind. I like the way the staff and musical notes support her flower cluster and the way she tucked in the framed chalkboard. Finally the sparkly bits and flowers really make her layout shine.

Do you want a taste of this gorgeous collection? Just visit the Use It All Challenge at the Digichick and grab the coordinating free mini kit created by Snickerdoodle Designs and participate in the challenge.

I’ve come to the end of my post and hope I have inspired you. Have a great week and I will see you next Monday for more inspiration!
